I would classify today as 'good'.

It started by waking up ten minutes later than usual. This was because I'd decided not to go to work. Only ten minutes later because for some reason I can never get back to sleep after calling in sick. Probably guilt rather than routine.  I am glad that happens though because otherwise I would waste the day sleeping. I figured I would be productive and go apply for jobs at places that are not the place I currently work at. But since not all the places were open yet I would wait. So I playedguitar and realized that writing lyrics is impossible, got a terribly spelled and worded text message from my supervisor about me being missing, took a short nap during which time I think the power went out and came back on, and then got very sad news from Isela via voicemail. The only reason I didn't pick up was because the number was not in my phone book and I was afraid it would be someone harassing me about my improvised day off. As you've probably heard or read by now, a famous man died and went to heaven.

Then I went to a coffee shop, a music store, and a book store and didn't apply for jobs to any of them because that would require talking to someone to ask for an application. But I did get a good drink, listen to some good music, and buy some good books. I also spilled the drink onto my shirt and used that as a justification not to go apply anywhere. One of the books I bought was by the guy who died. The other one is about the complete life of another guy. It's of his complete life because he's dead already. Way to go, other guy! You completed your life!

I didn't know what else to do so I drove towards home mostly through residential roads, avoiding convenience stores, heading generally east through the nice kind of neighborhoods where some sort of construction or pruning or remodeling is being done every few streets. Nothing exciting happened, for some reason. Not even in the Dead End I drove down! I decided it wasn't time to go home yet so I stopped at a different, more successful coffee shop and I drank outside and read most of the book..

Why can't I get paid for this?
