The Roman ruins at Caesarea are photography crack. Geometric lines, grandiose architecture, the complementary orange stone against the blue sky and water of the ocean, it's small wonder that I wandered out of there with over 800 shots.
Of course, nobody wants to wade through 800 photographs. So, with much gnashing of teeth and chewing of nails, here's just 20.

Cutting through this many pictures made for some really difficult choices. Do I put in 3 pictures of one really cool thing or skip the others to put in something else? Is this just a picture of a cool thing and not a cool picture? Toss on a whole lot of modifications trying to get the freaking highlights un-blown in the clouds while keeping the shadows at bay... and I can see why several books/sites I've read say expect 2 hours in software for each hour of shooting afterwards.
There's one or two hdr shots, but no black and white and no film-effects on this batch. I tried on a few, and the natural color/clarity of the place just couldn't be denied. It was one of the most truly breathtakingly beautiful places I've ever been.
