Victoria's day wasn't going as planned. She thought her day was going to be pleasant, wonderful even though the moment she woke up bad luck struck. Her alarm clock didn't go off until she woke up thirty minutes before her class started. Apparently her clock couldn't tell the difference between AM and PM. The poor girl literally jumped out of ( Read more... )

Lilo had finished with her morning classes and had a while until an afternoon one. She decided to eat her lunch outside, and carried her pizza and soda out into the quad.

She was lucky she didn't drop it when she saw a familiar face. "Victoria?"

After hitting her head at least three times on the table, Victoria's attempt to erase the morning's fiasco was a failure. All she had now was an empty stomach and a headache. Knowing my luck I probably lost a few dozen brain cells now. The thought went through her mind as she was ready to bang her head against the table again when she heard someone call out her name.

She lifted her head up to find the person who called her. Her blue eyes looked about until they settled on an a familiar face.

"...Lilo?"

Grinning and waving, Lilo ran over toward Victoria, gait bouncier than usual due to overwhelming joy. She put her pizza and drink down on the table quickly before wrapping her arms tightly around her friend. "You're here! You're not just a hallucination, you're real!"

Victoria got up as soon as her childhood best friend came up. She hugged the black haired girl tightly. It had been so long (millions and millions of years) since she'd seen her best friend. She chuckled at her friend. Still the same Lilo!

"Not unless you're one too!" she giggled, continuing to hug her best friend.

"I had no idea you were going here too!"

"I don't think I'm a hallucination, but if I was, I probably wouldn't know. I skinned the crap out of my knees earlier today, so I think I'm real." She bounced a little into the hug, just happy to be doing it at all. "I didn't know you were going here either! How's it been so far?"

"Maybe we're all just hallucinations of someone's mind, maybe God's?" she teased, pulling back from the hug to get a good look at her best friend. Her smile turned sheepish.

"Umm...aside from a hellish morning...okay? Though now it's totally better since you're here!"

"Maybe!" She grinned at Victoria. Lilo had gotten taller, much like her older sister, and she'd gotten a few tattoos (David had helped her pick out a place), but other than that, she looked very much the same as she always had. Fewer muumuus now that she was off the island, but she was still wearing a skirt.

"Well, want to share a piece of pizza and we can talk about it?" She smiled and motioned to her food.

Victoria didn't change much herself. The freckles she had when she was little were still there but barely noticeable with foundation on. Her hair was more brown than red these days and before she used to be the same height as Lilo and now she was an inch shy of her best friend's height. As for her wardrobe, Victoria had always had a fondness for shorts when she was little and that tradition carried on. Though right now she was wearing wrinkled jeans.

At the mention of pizza her stomach growled making the girl feel more embarrassed. "Yes please, I ran out of the house this morning."

Sitting down, Lilo pulled some of her special trail mix out of her bag, offering some to Victoria. It had the standard nuts and M&Ms combination, but it also had bacon. "Here, I'll eat this, I can go back for pizza later. You eat that." She smiled and swung her legs a little. "Ran late?"

Victoria's eyes looked at the trail mix and grabbed a small handful. The nuts and M&Ms were perfect and the beacon made it heavenly. Her blue eyes rolled at her best friend's question. if only it were that.

"I was late for a class I didn't have." she grumbled, not angry at her friend but at her own stupidity.

"Are you heading to class? Or did you just get out of one?"

"Oh, ugh. Well, at least you're not in class? Then you could be starving and having to learn things you don't want to learn." She wrinkled her nose then grinned anew at the mention of being out of class. "Nope, just got out! When's your next one?"

"Mm, too true. Then everyone would hear my stomach and think its a monster or something." Or if her stomach's growling caught the attention of her professor...she would be the mayor of Embarrassment-City.

"Oh, um.." Victoria had to pull out her notebook out of her bag to see what was next on her schedule.

"Not until the afternoon. It's English grammar and composition. What about you?"

"Or maybe that there's a secret yeti loose!" She smiled and swung her legs a little, nibbling on some of the bacon from her trail mix. "Theory of Dance in a while. It's super boring, we don't even dance, we just talk about all the different kinds of dance we could be doing if we weren't stuck in stupid school."

Victoria giggled. "Oh man, maybe. When I was running to school this morning I swore I looked like I was running away from zombie girl scouts." She took another bite of the trail mix as well, savoring the taste.

The brunette stared at her best friend for a moment. She had to be kidding right? "...there's theory on dance?" Well that was the one new thing she learned today.

"I'm taking a beginning dance class that's supposed to go over a little bit of each dance style, like ballet, jazz and other things...but dance theory? Who thought that up?"

"Zombie girl scouts would be terrifying. No matter what you did, they'd be ready for you!" She shuddered, imagining girls in tiny green skirts and berets chasing her, finding her no matter where she hid.

Shrugging, she tossed a piece of bacon in the air and caught it with her mouth. "Really, it's more about the history and meaning and evolution of dance. I think they called it theory because history of dance sounds way too easy. And like that one YouTube video."

"Ones that wanted to sell cookies. Zombie virus infected girl scoot cookies." Victoria cringed at the mental image. her mind decided to take it a step further to think about how those cookies would look like. Half eaten, half rotten cookies. After that the poor girl decided she was full.

"Ohhh, well that makes more sense then. When i heard you say dance theory I thought you meant like...the theory of spinning quickly or something," she leaned back into her seat, pulling both of her feat up to sit Indian style.

"What have you been up to? Is Stitch with you? ...Mertle isn't here is she?" Victoria wrinkled her nose a little remembering that little girl from her childhood.
