So yes, I have heard the wonderful news; the last chapter of the DT has been posted. Hopefully I will be able to read it soon, but I have a bad feeling that I may not until I get back to the States. But in other news.....Japan. So we made it! One 5 hour and one 11 hour flight. It was so funny, we were on the second flight, and a good amount of time had gone by, so I thought "Oh we must be about half way there". When I checked the map, we had only been flying for two and a half hours! But we finaly arrived! There are so many differences. It has taken me a while, to remember to walk to the other side of the car, when I get into the passenger seat. I also have to concetrate, when my Aunt drives, beacuse of the fact that they drive on the different side of the road. Hopefully I will not have to drive, because Japanese are crazy drivers, and the roads are so narrow. There is also no zoning in the city. (We live in Toyaoshi, which is two hours south of of Tokyo). Building are randomly placed, houses are just where ever someone felt like building it. My Aunt say, because there are so many people in such a small country, the people live on top of each other, which you can see.
Wow, it seems like all I am doing is bashing this country. It really is a great place, the people are SO nice, and I really mean it. You will never here anyone yell or cars honking, everyone is so patient. My Aunt says it is a very peaceful country. The coolest thing is that the teachers that work here are from everywhere. The other day we went out to lunch at a Brazilian restraunt (there is a large Brailian population in Japan). This was the table: three Americans, two Brazilians, two Dutch, two Austrlians, and one from Switzerland. It was so much fun, no one really cares what age you are, everyone is equal. I mean, we are all foriegners and all we have is each other, so thats cool, because I was afraid I would be out of place because I was younger.
I am having so much fun though, each day, learning something different about this country. OMG, look at the time! I have a funny story to tell but I will have to write about it next time. Haha, I was just thinking, its 5:30 pm here, which means it is........3:30 am where you guys are. Peace Out!
