[Well, you thought Lottie's Masquerade called for a decorative overhaul? Your mind has just been blown. Thanks to the glorious weather, the Academy's prom is being held outdoors on the quad, and no expense has been spared to make it the perfect, picturesque prom night. Four small gazebos rest in the four courners of the quad, laced with ivy and

However, she couldn’t help but hope he did, indeed, find someone. The choice to make an exchange for Megara’s life guaranteed that Aladdin and she could never be together. He at least deserved to be happy while she upheld her end of the bargain.
A pang of guilt shot through her. Something told her that he wouldn’t take the news so well. Perhaps that would be better suited for another time.
But… at least for now… this might be the last time she’ll ever get to see Aladdin again, to be with him. It wasn’t the time to push him away, per usual, but rather, a time to embrace what little could be had. A small moment, reminiscent of how they once were, before it would all be thrown away.
Jasmine manages a smile; for the first time in a long time, it’s not overpowered by sorrow or regret.]
He never has been very contented with staying still while there is excitement around.

[He was surprised by how genuine that smile seemed to be, delighted to see that some of the weight on her shoulders had been lifted. He only hoped that the situation wasn't temporary.]
It's good to see you smile again.

[Especially since some of them were really rocking the bling.]
O-oh... [Oh dear; she's not quite sure what to say to that. Word vomit Jas, ahooooy.] Well, it is prom and it is nice out and just...
[This isn't working. Stop her, Al!]

[That comment was for Abu's benefit more than anything else. The expression on the monkey's face made it clear that he'd got the message. (Whether he'd listen or not was a different matter, of course.)]
You don't need to explain. I'm just glad you are. That's all that matters.

Things certainly have changed... [She, of course, meant just recently. But now wasn't the time to go into the details with that.]
Um... have you seen Roxas?

Roxas? Not today. Why?

[Looks like "Facilier" was right, doesn't it?]
He thought it would cheer me up to come... I would not be here, otherwise. Anything is worth a try at this point.

[The problem wasn't that she'd attended or even that she'd attended with Roxas. It was the fact that Roxas - who he considered her friend - was with her as a date that wrenched at his heart.]

[That was her understanding of it, at least. Though, Aladdin's shock began to register with her.
O-oh dear. Better explain.]
Not like a date date, though! We are only here on friendly terms. That is all.

[Aladdin relaxed immediately. He obviously wasn't close to being over Jasmine and he would have been devastated to find that she'd moved on so quickly. He'd have had to start questioning if what they'd had had ever meant anything to her.]
I'm glad he managed to persuade you to come.

And everyone just seems so... happy. [It's a huge relief that she cleared up that misunderstanding.
She turns her attention to the crowd, watching the couples walk arm in arm, hand in hand. It wrenches at her heart knowing that once things were settled completely, it would be her on Hades' arm.
The smile that had graced her lips upon watching the activity turned bittersweet.]

[But when he turned his eyes away from the crowd and back to Jasmine, he couldn't help but notice that her smile had faded somewhat.]
... Jasmine?

[She shook herself from her watchful gaze to turn back towards Aladdin.]
I-I am sorry. I suppose I am just... jealous.
[Jealous really wasn't the right word, but it was the only one to come to mind quick enough. A sorrowful longing to return to such a simple and gleeful state, perhaps, but she didn't envy any of the pairs.]

You miss when things were simple. Before the Mist came.

But it seems like so long ago for me... It is almost like... it was a completely seperate life. [Lived by a very different Jasmine. The feeling was to the point that she could almost have trouble believing it had once been her.]
