Event: Disney Academy Prom
[Well, you thought Lottie's Masquerade called for a decorative overhaul? Your mind has just been blown. Thanks to the glorious weather, the Academy's prom is being held outdoors on the quad, and no expense has been spared to make it the perfect, picturesque prom night. Four small gazebos rest in the four courners of the quad, laced with ivy and iced with white string lights, the last of which trails out into the botanical gardens, which are illuminated by the same tiny lights for anyone fancying a romantic stroll. A raised circular stage in the very center provides the setting for the band, a five-piece group that looks like they can spin a romantic tune or two when they're not straight up rocking the house. To the side a line of buffet tables await with a light dinner, complete with punch in clear plastic glasses. The rest of the space is open for mingling, all under the evening stars on the clearest possible night.
Of course, chaperones will be minding the students' behavior. Prom is a classy affair, thank you. Then again, some might be willing to look the other way as they mask smiles, remembering how their own proms had been. But for those younger students looking to crash, be warned -- they're on the lookout.
