It's Cold!

As predicted the weather over the weekend was COLD! I spent much of it in bed under layers of blankets, wearing flannel pajamas and thick socks - mmm sexy. Most of the time I spent out of bed was spent plunked on the couch, under layers of blankets, watching all 27 episodes of Dungeons & Dragons the cartoon, plus listening to a radio version of the final episode which was never made. I got pretty sick of the introduction, but it was cute. An amusing bonus to buying the series DVD (which was actually borrowed from a friend) is a short D&D adventure where you get to play as the kids. We have been promised this adventure sometime in the near future, so watching the DVD was more like a character study or several of them.

Yesterday I did not want to wake up and go to work. I just felt ick. The phone rang at 7:15 am when I was supposed to already be up, but hadn't actually made it up yet. On the phone was my friend from work who was calling to tell me that the Madison Public schools had canceled classes for the day, which meant that work was also closed. Score! I thought about crawling back in bed, but made homemade waffles instead and enjoyed them thoroughly. Then I grabbed by romance/fantasy book and read in bed for a few hours until I fell back asleep. Jason stated it was a wasted day, but it was just what I needed.

Now what I need is some decent hand cream. Have I mentioned that it's COLD outside?
