What was meant to be a simple straightforward drive to the mountain turned out to be one exciting road trip.

Protests against Indian rule had started early and would soon build up. So naturally, the main road was blocked, forcing EVERYONE to make detours into little villages and hamlets. If you were driving, it was nothing short of a nightmare!

Of the entire trip, I liked this series best. Perhaps a saving grace. It was such an impromptu moment and it helped that the boys were such naturals and darlings.

It's trips like these that remind you that you are not a photographer, nor an artist, but a tourist with an over-sized camera. Very disappointed with photos this time round - and I can't help but feel that I've wasted such a good photo op! Sigh. But I'll keep taking them.
