Let me find my pockets lined
with lost teeth, let me find myself
pulled up from the street
by the hand of my own umbrella, let me
tumble dry down beside you
this rainy afternoon.
Let me find my pockets emptied of talisman, my window
burned through with comet, my bed burning like brush
beneath me. Let me bathe, the bath full up with buttons,
the floor flooded with shirts yet mended. Let me find you
bone scrubbed and unadorned, still and salted
walking up from the shore.
