Good grief, I don't know what's going on in Lanarkshire at the mo, but today was a day of a million strokes in the under 50s.
The most troubling was the man who had suffered sudden loss of the left side of his vision, crippling vertigo, ataxia and nausea at work but had then driven home as usual. Fave quote: "It took me longer than usual to get home because I missed my turn off the motorway; it was in the left hand side of my vision so I just didn't see it". His wife then described how he had parked the car skew-whiff on the driveway and had staggered, weaving from side to side, up the garden path to the house. Terrifying stuff.
Please, please promise me, if you ever suddenly lose half your vision and the ability to walk in a straight line, do not get into a car and drive along the motorway to your house. Call an ambulance to take you straight to hospital. Ok?
Sheesh.
