Soo yeah.
Update.
I've been writing a lot but not finishing a lot which is frustrating.
Um.
I highly recommend a documentary called Bluesland.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0287939/ I watched it yesterday and it is really amazing.
I think next I'm going to see M For Mississippi: A Road Trip through the Birthplace of the Blues
http://www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi3692626713/ That is one thing about the South that I miss in a visceral way. I want to find some tiny bar, rocking and packed. Sweaty people with beers in hand dancing to some ass shaking blues.
I want to hang out with old men in pimping suits who call me honey and ask if I wanna have babies with them and aren't hurt when I say no.
That also makes me miss my friend John. I worked with his brother ages and ages ago and we'd all get together and drink beer and sing blues it was so much fun.
Um.
Writing. Right.
I've been given some leads on small presses that might really dig my work. I think I might try and focus on doing a small collection of short stories. I have some that are basically done and I want to do about 6-7 more. Get the whole shebang up to about 30k words. THEN save up some pennies to have it edited by Sarah. Which would be fucking awesome.
More on that if it happens I'm not really certain.
I think that's all for now. I am going to work on a horror story I started yesterday. A ghost story of course. Takes place right here in Seatown, involves the blues. Good times.
