Here is an old(er) entry.

Aug 30, 2005 20:04

I typed this up on Saturday the 20th of August but I don't like leaving saved drafts unposted! Also, this one contains a gazillion photos of cavorting kittens, and everybody likes a good kittenspam.

I am currently sitting in a tiny old lounge room, surrounded by six tiny kittens (and one slightly bigger one). I swear, kittens make the whole world seem absolutely lovely, until their backsides start exploding and they're just not sure where the litterbox is. Still! I've only been here since around 1:30pm yesterday (it's 8:45am as I type this) and I already have a favourite, so I'm starting to worry that I might head home with him/her (JUST HOW DO YOU TELL?). I can't do that, Jellyfish would have a coronary.

The story is that I'm at my friend Tweet's house, and it's slightly odd because for the last six months of 2002 it was my house as well. Well, that's not true, it was always Tweet's house, I was just a temporary boarder that would have stayed for longer, had it not been a "family sharehouse" situation and one of the relatives needed a room. If you knew me at all between June and December of 2003, I would have been typing to you from the bedroom next to the lounge room where I am lounging currently.

It's awesome to see Tweet again (I've seen her at random, sporadic times since I moved out, but the moving out was an awkward situation and so we didn't talk for four months or so after I left), and it seems that she's a bit of a hermit so I'm thinking that I need to do it more often. She's not entirely alone, because for the last year or so her boyfriend Dylan's been living with her - she met him the same December that I moved out[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ippppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppprrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr DON'T LOOK AT ME, YOU THINK I DID THAT? About eight paws did that. KITTENS, SO CUTE. But yeah! Dylan's absolutely lovely, I'm so glad for her because she's lovely too and they're great together, it seems. But she said last night that it's usually just her and Dylan (and random relatives - at the moment her cousin James is here too) so don't let me forget to force myself upon their presence more often. I think some time today I'm dragging Tweet (if not Dylan as well) back to my place. Nice one.

Okay, I have to go get bombarded by kittens again. #UIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiAh, what impeccable timing the little wobbly freaks have.

NOTE WELL:
