Chances are, if you are from America and are reading this (wait… people are reading this?), then you are much luckier than I am.
Being from New Zealand, I am stuck with region 4 DVDs and DVD players. And because I am still living at home, I am stuck when it comes to getting a multi-zonal DVD player.
But why am I ranting about being Region 4? Yesterday I went to the public library, all excited because my copy of Jeeves and Wooster had come in and was waiting for pick-up. All was well and good, and I got out my copy of The Gun Seller, by Hugh Laurie, paid my money. And then, when I was handed my copy of the DVD, I saw… Region 1 only! stamped on the front. Now, there had been no sign that this was going to be the case when I reserved it, because if I had known it… I wouldn’t have reserved it. Duh.
So, the moment I move out and start buying my own stuff, a multi-zonal DVD player is at the top of the list. Followed by
Gargoyles: The DVD.

In other news, once I am through with this assignment of mine (due Monday… ick), I will be hard at work on two more subsites of my collection. One, in partnership with
Ellie, will be Inkstains, a combination of my temporarily offline Stained Soul GIMP resource site, and her planned offshoot of
Inky Splotches, which is more PhotoShop. So keep an eye out for announcements.
And, finally, my layout for Naomie Harris Fan is pretty much done (excluding the coppermine part, anyway), and now I am hard at work collecting content and images. Expect that to be opening soon, too.
