I don't know. Cable television is for niche programming and there is a built-in advertiser base, so it makes economic sense. But for some reason, I can't help but wonder if
taking professional video gaming from broadband to television is somehow a step backwards and I'm reminded of a line from last night's crappy, Matt Tarses
show that fills the void between Scrubs and SVU or Boston Legal; "Just what I always wanted to do. Watch you play a video game". It makes economic sense and if the system is piped fullscreen, it'll be easy to televise, but if anything is well suited for netcasting, you'd think this would be it.
