theres a makeup school in chicago that is called Makeup First and i'm looking at the website and debating if i should ask my dad about going. it goes from june 9th through july 22nd, and the classes are 2-5pm monday through thursday. theres four courses: basic makeup, media makeup, theatrical makeup, clinical makeup, and then one class on careers in makeup artistry.
its 73 hours, and with completion you get a certificate of completion from the state of illinois. Its convenient because the summer session is going on right when i will be there, and it will give me something to do (because tyler is going to be in summer school as well) but it wont be taking up entire days, just three hours 4 days a week, which is nothing. If nothing else i think it would be really interesting and give me a new point of view and new styles to try, and ill be able to try more out of the box editorial makeup, which i have always wanted to learn.
only problem: it costs $4,000. my mom said i should talk to my dad about helping me out with it, as it technically is school for something i want to do.
i dunno. thoughts? anyone heard of this place or know any info on it? lemme know!
