France now

So I°m in Strasbourg now, struggling with a weird French keyboard.

Anyway first thing first, Ireland. It was cool... except for the weather, every big tourist site we went to like the Cliffs of Moher or Croagh Patrick were fogged over and it was kinda difficult to see anything. But our timing for everything couldn°t have been better. We turned up in Westport in the middle of the once-a-year Catholic pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick, a mountain where St Patrick fasted for 40 days in 500AD, supposedly where he rid Ireland of snakes but I don°t see how any snakes would survive in a climate like that anyway. So we climbed up the rather rocky bitch of a trail to the top among crazed catholics with no shoes on. We didn°t do all the hail Marys and how°s your fathers? that we were supposed to but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Kilkenny rocked - the town as well as the beer. Speaking of beer, I know that it sounds like a cop-out but the Guiness is definitely better in Ireland, Beamish and Murphys are also great.

More on France later, time is up
