Who: Anyone on the Spero trip
Where: Spero!
When: This morning
Rating: PG
Summary: The boat arrives at Spero. First day in Spero; exploration abounds? Best way to do this is probably to just make your own threads with where your character(s) are going in the subject line, but however everyone wants to do this works.
the log: ( Arrival! )

Hans had only planned to document the trip so there was enough information to take back with them to use. He had no particular preference of place to go first, but considered that trying to learn more about the machine that could peer into other worlds was a good start.

Armed with a thick blank book, some writing utensils and a large canvas bag, he was ready to go forth from the dock and see what he could find.

She listens to Seifer as long as her rather short attention span will allow for it before wandering off to walk through the city.

It strikes her how far Discedo has come. Spero doesn't looks so dissimilar to her initial arrival in Discedo.

She can already tell the soil here won't be much better.

Quiet, she walks through the streets before clambering through the ruins of some old building and then to what looks like an interesting place.

The observatory was dark and in disarray and she was quiet as she made her way through.

Hans was already set up at a table in the observatory. He was copying what he couldn't take down in his book, and putting anything small enough in the bag.

After a long bout of writing he leaned back and gave out a sigh. Would he have enough time to properly look through everything?

She wanders over, seemingly aimless for now. She's just curious about what he's writing.

She touches the corner of his book. "What you write?"

After Seifer's rousing speech, Gracia headed to the nearest landmark that seemed to catch her interest rather quickly. The residential area also caught her curiosity, but the large building in the middle of the city appealed to her the most. She'd have time to see that other area later. Walking with a briskness to her step, Gracia arrived at the entrance of the abandoned learning facility and wasted no time in staring at the imposing monument any longer.

With wide eyes, she entered the halls.

Not specifically going store shopping (yet), Canada took Kumajirou and began to walk down the streets. He was a bit of a tourist, and wanted to at least take in the sights before he started raiding everything.

Plus, he had time and he had his communicator, so for the moment he wasn't in a rush.

Karai had taken to exploring this strange city, as well, making her self familiar with it, in case it was needed. She was moving along the shops, peering inside them, to see what they had. She spotted one of those country people that had been on the boat, and nods to him.

"Hello, shopping as well?"

Canada glanced up from peering into a window toward the source of the voice. He smiled politely; one of Japan's, he assumed, from her accent.

"Yes, I am." He spoke softly, glancing back toward the window. "There's not a lot here, but there's more than back at Discedo.. figured it wouldn't be good to waste an opportunity like this, eh?"

"Yes, I noticed that as well. More things to take back to those that couldn't come, however." She was definitely from Japan, maybe not that Japan, but aa Japan, having been grown, and born here. "I am called Karai."

Kadaj had only been half-listening to Seifer. Don't die, okay. Leave when he said...

That depended on if this place had anything better to offer. He had quickly become sick of being confined on the ship, and it took all of his effort not to run off. A hospital? Maybe he'd find something out others before hadn't. If anything he could stay there until the other places were less occupied and look around later.

It was dim, which he welcomed. He didn't know where to go, so he just began looking around.

Considering how often his family and friends got injured, Canada knew he had to swing by the hospital eventually. He entered it cautiously; it was a bit daunting to head somewhere where there was nobody else, and being away from everyone in Discedo suddenly felt.. frightening. Still, if he could find something, anything to bring back, he'd do that.

Kumajirou would remain on guard outside as he ventured in to explore.

Kadaj immediately went silent when he heard someone else there. He peeked curiously within his shroud of shadows. He didn't know him by name, but he recognized Canada from the boat. Canada didn't look too at ease in the place.

Well, he didn't have anything better to do. Why not feed his imagination a little?

Shadows grew around his feet before taking the forms of armored, feline beasts. He motioned for them to quietly stick to the darkness nearby his victim, occasionally growling lowly.

Zoro dropped anchor while Seifer was talking. If the man thought he was listening then he obviously had to get to know Zoro a little better.

But... that was then; probably a few hours ago but Zoro certainly wasn't counting. The now is a little more complicated, unfortunately. You'd wanted to go to the mall, right Luffy? Well, too bad, you let Zoro take the lead. He's probably going to walk you all off a cliff or tree or some random-- but still incorrect-- building somewhere.

It might be a good idea to try and stop him now.

Just a suggestion.

Of course Chopper had paid attention, just because this was probably useful information he could use to get himself and the rest of the crew out of danger. Unfortunately, he hadn't been given much time to make sure everyone else (mainly Zoro and Luffy) had listened to Seifer's speech, because by the time he was trying to look for his captain and their swordsman, the two were already getting off the ship.

After some loud complaining and arguing, the three had decided to head to the mall together.

Hours later, Chopper wondered if that had been a good idea at all. From his current seat on someone's shoulders (he'd asked for a piggy-back ride. Zoro refused. Guess who didn't?), he craned his neck around to get a good look at their current unknown location. They were nowhere near the mall. In fact, this looked like they were near the hospital.

"I'm pretty sure we're lost right now."

"We're not lost."

Holding onto Chopper's legs and little hooves to keep the reindeer upright, he glanced around at their location. They had only made a left and a right, or was it a right and then a left? And then they turned by that tree...

No, they definitely knew where they were going.

Not that Luffy had even bothered listening to Seifer's speech. His mind stopped at 'you're free to do whatever' and went to 'MALL!' but then...

This wasn't the mall. His brows furrowed as he looked around, and then he just pointed forward.

"That way! The mall's gotta be over there."

"Don't be stupid." Glancing back at Luffy, Zoro pointed in the direction they'd just come from. Right, left... It was all the same now that he'd stopped looking straight ahead. "The mall's that way."
