"Having fun?" Souji asks from his side, not sitting but standing with a hand casually placed on his hip. He'd been here early, in order 'get something ready'. The occurrence over at Horizon Park was some cause for concern, but it didn't seem to be doing anything in particular either...

Sitting on the high barstool, he's a little bit taller than Souji.

"Yeah," he replies, blissfully unaware of any going-ons outside of his own little circle, "thanks for setting it all up."

He nods, shifting closer. He'd save the intimacy for later tonight, but for now, he surveys the rest of the bar with Yousuke next to him. They'd had dinner already, but it's been some time since. Maybe he should get out what he prepared earlier today.

"Are you still hungry?"

"Dude, I've been hungry ever since I came to Discedo," he says with a chuckle, nudging Souji a bit. "What've you got up your sleeve?"

[Someone is crouched behind the bar, occasionally popping up when the birthday boy's back is turned to leave an interesting rock in front of him. Yorda is being sneaky today.]

He's completely unaware, distracted by the noise and hubbub of the party. But when he turns around and looks at the counter...

That's quite a pile of rocks there. Where did it come from? He picks one up and looks at it from all angles.

Woah! He jumps in his seat a little-- Oh. It's just Yorda the glowbug. He remembers her from their few conversations.

"Hey. Yeah, it is good," Yousuke replies, with a bit of a smile. He motions at the mound of pebbles on the counter, "'these from you?"

Yuugi arrived, even if he was still a bit afraid to leave his apartment. Still, he was invited, and it wouldn't be fair if he stood up his new friend. Meeting new people was always exciting!

Plus, he hadn't been to the Northern Lights yet and new places to check out were always fun. So he walked in, a kid of 5 foot even with crazy spikey hair and a large pyramid around his neck on a chain. Totally not eye catching at all.

Being from a subspace of jrpgs where people actually look fairly normal, Yousuke is a bit taken aback by the 3-toned hair bondage jewelery kid. However, it wasn't quite as weird as all the talking animals and countries who are actually people, so he was able to take it in stride.

"Hey! Are you Muto?"

Weird because Yuugi's technically the only one from his world who wears it. The freaky hair styles though? Well..

He blinks as Yousuke calls to him and he glances up everyone is taller than him /sob and he grins widely.

"Yup! That's me!"

Hey, if Naoto comes, he's taller than her.

"Cool. I'm Hanamura," he nods his head in greeting. "Make yourself a plate or something. The food's free."

[Flies out of fucking nowhere because no, I can't harass you with just one character.]

AUGH TEDDIE. Even for his size, his tackles still pack a punch. Yousuke has to grab onto the bottom of his seat and hold on tight to keep from falling out of his chair.

"Woah, hey!" While he tries to pry Teddie off of him, "Get off! Dumb bear!"

[He beams as he's pried off Yousuke.]

I made you a present!

[It's a dream catcher... thing. It isn't particularly useful, or anywhere close to the quality of stuff Kanji can make, but there's obvious effort there to make the old hubcap, bits of string and pieces of blunt stain glass to look good. Souji, Naoto or Kanji probably helped him with the wrapping.]

It definitely had a Teddie-made feel to it. Like a summer camp project... At least this was better than a macaroni picture frame, or something like that.

"Thanks, Teddie," about as well as a Yousuke can thank someone for an essentially useless thing. He may not put it in the window, but he'll keep it somewhere Teddie could see. He knows how to please the bear.

A lesson Yukari had learned today was that finding intact wrapping paper in Discedo was an absolute bitch of a task, comparable to those times when Minato would insist, in a tone that brooked no argument, that they had to absolutely scour certain floors until they found a special type of sword. She'd never found out why, now she thought of it.

But that wasn't the point here. The point was, after one long scavenging trip, resulting in a nearly empty quiver, a lot of dead zombies and bats, and a few carefully selected clothes, she had found what she considered the perfect present. Politeness was almost entirely cast away with as she entered the Lights - so familiar by now - and caught sight of Yosuke sitting like an idiot. The present was still hidden in a tote bag she'd found in her scavenging, bobbing slightly against her waist as she trotted over to him.

"Yosuke-kun, hey! Happy birthday!"

"Yukari-chan!" And the party just got three times better. It had been awhile since they've hung out, so he was looking forward to her coming. Yousuke waves in her direction.

"Thanks for coming!" Beaming, beaming. Yukari, you're lucky. You usually only see him when he's in the best of moods. "It's great to see you again!"

/BURNING JEALOUSY I want one of Yukari like that :c

"No problem! It's good to see you again, too."

If she were more open - like, say, Rise - he'd be getting a hug right now, but Yukari is still very aware of the awkward little triangle they were hovering in. So, all he got was a fond smile and a shift of her bag higher on her shoulder; naturally, she was dressed in something cute and pink, her best clothes just for his occasion.

The poor boy didn't have the same luxury, finding her at some very low points, but such was life. She wasn't thinking about that right now. "Enjoying yourself so far?"

"Sure am!" while grinning, even swinging his legs a bit on the barstool. Oh Yousuke, you're incorrigible.

"Want some cake? I'm sure there's a couple slices left."
