It wasn’t a very big affair, just a small group of friends, and some onlookers. But he liked it that way. The attention was more than enough, almost to the point of embarrassment.
But he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t pleased.
Yes, the beginning of summer was off to a good start. First the festival, which went over better than anyone would have thought (murders besides), and then his birthday. Now if it could just stay that way for longer than a month. He actually believed it could, after such a long, fairly peaceful stretch of time.
Yousuke sits on a barstool backwards and watches as people mill about. For once, he’s genuinely smiling.
