the log: He looked left, he looked right, quickly and swiftly and panicked. He held tightly to Byakko's fur, the only being he could trust at that moment, and that was because Byakko listened to him, obeyed his orders. Everyone else- no. No. They wanted to hurt him, take Byakko- he wouldn't let that happen. Not ever again.
The warehouse loomed before him, and he was not averse to shoving around the people or monsters that dared get near him and Byakko. His eyes were wide with fear, his arms shaking with tension. Earlier, he'd stormed out of the apartment, found himself here in hopes he'd be alone. That wasn't the case, though. No, that wasn't the case.
"Byakko," Rei breathed out, silent and wary, "Byakko."
