Hook, line, and sinker. Hayley wanted to grin, giggle, show any kind of amusement. But she knew that would only ruin her plans. Instead, she chose to quiet her sobbing and slow her tears just long enough to give the other girl a very grateful look. As if she were a starving child and the blond had offered her her last loaf of bread.

"I didn't mean to, like, be a bully." Hayley dropped her eyes for a moment in mock-shame, before bringing them back to rest on the other girl. Her eyes were still red and puffy from crying, but fresh tears were still making new paths down her soaked cheeks.

"But don't worry or anything." Hayley reassured her, even sporting a smile that looked awkward on her tear-stained face. It seemed sincere, because in a way it was. If she didn't have to wrap up any innocents in this whole mess, she wouldn't. They were just casualties, not her targets. Not that she felt any sort of guilt about their involvement, but she wasn't going to torture them more than she had to for their housemates' mistakes, after all.

"Besides, I guess..." Hayley looked away from her, her brows furrowing like she was concentrating hard on fighting back more tears. "If I really did it, I deserve this." But her 'resolve' faltered and she burst into fresh sobs, barely able to finish her last sentence.

Something deep inside Namine was telling her not to trust what this girl was saying; that she was being played, that this wasn't worth what she was going through. But Namine pushed it back, moving up a bit with one of her hands to grip to an arm. All of this, she had to admit, was a little much for the whole ordeal, but maybe the part that scared her the most was that Prydain's threats were the things to bring her to this. It was Prydain that had kidnapped her, Prydain that locked her down here, Prydain, the person she held closest to her, that was about to hurt this girl that seemed almost genuinely sorry to be where she was. That shook her to the core, left her without anything in her mind, and floundering for words.

There was only one thing keeping her upright and not stopping a breakdown of her own- the knowledge that yes, she did it, and if she was let off with anything less than this, it would be like Sora letting Marluxia off when she was kidnapped. And put into that context, a small fire lit up inside her, and she realized none of this could be let off lightly. If Sora hadn't come to save her, she wouldn't have known what to do. Now, if no one was going to come to Umi and Haseo's aid, she couldn't face them the next day.

"I... I'm not worried. But... you should know, they could be doing something a lot worse to you. Their original idea was a lot worse and... they could have killed you. Just know they're being nicer because they've realized they... they don't want to sink to the same level by kidnapping and attacking you when you couldn't fight back." Something inside burned her to say that, sounding that outright mean to anyone. But she deserved it, Namine thought.

If anyone did, she deserved what was coming to her.
