Fallen empires
Okay so it feels like Christmas morning. We're about to go and record the EP (or updated demo, depending on quality) and I can't get back to sleep. I woke up before 7am (is that a flying pig?!) and now I'm starting to buzz.
Hopefully this recording is going to be the one that makes people finally take us seriously. We're about a thousand times better than we were a year ago and I guess the songs we're doing this weekend reflect the turning point we're at. A couple of them are old songs we'll be leading behind, then the rest are tip-of-the-iceberg-type hints of what's to come.
So what else is news? Last night was Hayley's 21st. I got really lost on the way there but hey, I made it. I felt as though I hadn't seen anyone in ages (new job etc) so it was nice to breathe a little life back into my sociability. I was, however, reminded of how everyone is going off to the UK this year, which aroused all kinds of jealousy. It's. Not. Fair. Half of my friends list seems to be in - or about to leave for - London and I'm so desperate to be there as well. More on this later.
