Yes, I'm aware of the fact I've hardly posted since starting my new job. I've just been flat out all day and exhausted at nights and over the weekends. I know you've all been missing my words of wisdom, so here's a little something to keep you going

A member of my team puts on accents and impersonates people from other countries in a kinda insulting way. It pissed me off for ages and then I said something about it, and he says, 'It's not racist! Some guy on the internet does it!' I just rolled my eyes - there's no reasoning with some people.

Now when he does it I just walk away.

I think you should punch your racist in the nose, though. It could be quite cathartic.

to be technical....in't there something about telling your new boss about it? Raism isn't supposed to be encouraged in the work force....so your boss would have to do something about it if you informed them. But then again.....if it's not bothering you that much...just treat her for what she is...a lower class citizen.

that's so awesome about the job. further congrats! i like office jobs. they're pretty funny to settle into- with the new dynamics of office-job-relations and all...but cool. it's a world of coffee breaks and cubicles, and that sounds alright to me. although i like trying lots of different things and different environments. i don't really like doing the same thing for too long.
ipod videos are great...i'm really enjoying mine. the other day, emma and i watched all the episodes of tiki bar on it, just because we could.
sorry i haven't had the chance to see your band before i go. just let me know if your ever planning a european tour! :)

How do you get videos on there? I'm in a spot of bother!!

just upload them the same way you would upload music to an ipod (via itunes).

It doesn't like a lot of formats though. Does it have to be a specific type of video?

This guy once sent an email to our work complaining - he had been forwarded a racist email supporting the cronulla riots and the email had originated from one of our staff in our Brisbane offices. She had forwarded the email on from her WORK email and our work signature was attached to it. So it had probably ended up reaching 100's of people promoting racist views with our company logo. She got fired I think.
