that is so interesting to see the differences in the stone with the cleaning methods etc, and i'm very taken with the idea of the plants taking over. :D

also, hi, welcome back!

What preservation methods were they using? Like, chemical-wise? Inquiring nerdy gradute students want to know.

Also, your pictures are pretty and that last statue is adorable.

LOL, as if I would know what chemicals they use for anything. I will be honest, I just imagined them sandblasting it with one of those power hoses that my dad uses to clean the drive way, but that is def not the scientific answers.

♥ yeah, it really was cute and original public art.

I don't live in Glasgow but I am through there a lot. It is interesting to see the city through the eyes of a visitor. You've done a lovely job with the pictures.

i too am intrigued by the stone cleaning! actually, i like your pictures from your ~travels a lot because you tend to take pictures of the kinds of things i stare at a lot when i travel: buildings, buildings, bridges, trees, buildings... haha. XD

now i really want a blanket of stars-thing for my backyard, though. :/

hahahhaha, that definitely sounds like the makeup of my pictures, *thumbs up* buildings buildings clouds buildings trees buildings water buildings buildings clouds.

Dude, I can't even tell you how awesome that star blanket was. It would be an A++ improvement to any backyard.
