You really captured that air of uncertainty & the tentativeness with which they approached the whole relationship, & the fear of being caught really set me on edge during their little trysts between studying.
A sidenote: Jon saying 'lads'? How fucking perfect was that? Oh, & the use of 'sod off' made me grin. It's ever so rare, since I kind of migrated from the HP fandom to the bandom, to hear britishisms like that. I remember getting irritated at American authors accidentally slipping in 'mom' or 'candy' or 'sidewalk' into their HP fics, & now it's almost 2nd nature for me to use 'pants' instead of 'trousers'. I'm culturally unbalanced, now. xD
& the Pete/Patrick storyline was a nice touch. Also, Ryan's confidence & certainty that things 'won't always be this way' really struck a chord, & made me think how fucking lucky I am to live in this place at this time, because I can't think of anyting worse than being subjected to fear because of something you are. I'm glad Brendon & Spence got a -- while not happy, exactly -- hopeful ending. <333
ANYWAY. So, I loved this. You continue to bring Brendon/Spencer goodness to the fandom. \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/

WELL, I HAD A MIDTERM THIS MORNING. SO, NATURALLY, WORKING ON THE STORY WAS ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY THING I DID YESTERDAY. I *am* dedicated... just not to the right things! Oh man. :(
I'm glad the uncertainty and and tentativeness came though! I loved the 'lads' as well, and I'm allowed to say that because it was Chex's (provetheworst) idea! I came up with the sod off though, so, I'll say YAY! I'm glad you liked that one too. *pets your culturally unbalanced self* :D
I'm glad that you liked the ending. I was toying with the idea of having a less, as you say, hopeful ending. But I just couldn't do that to them! They steal my heart away. Oh, Brendon/Spencer. How I love you.
