I'm actually still SO MAD about the Grey's Anatomy last night! Oh my goodness. I'm sure that I used to like the show, but it's hard to remember that given how it's been total shit lately. Meridith going around talking about how her sister is a secret cutter? A secret cutter? That's so fucking offensive. Grey's is usually some what fair and objective about the issues they bring up, and that level of insensitivity seemed to come out of nowhere. It's not freakin House! (House was actually really awesome this week, I thought. Almost back to the good old days.) The interns CUTTING THEMSELVES OPEN TO PRACTICE GIVING STITCHES is SO GROSS and so fucking weird and I can't figure out what they're doing with that! ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE THE SHOW UNLIKEABLE BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE SUCCEEDING IN DOING.
... Hem. (I just got off the phone with a friend and I was ranting, so that ended up being a little passionate. The term 'secret cutter' just drives me absolutely crazy.)
Meredith's friend is annoying. The special heart doctor is annoying. Yes, it's good to be sensitive to people with differing degrees of social grace, but that doctor didn't seem to be functioning. I was actually so freaked out when I saw her doing heart surgery. Doctors are responsible for peoples LIVES. They need to be pretty fucking solid human beings because of how if they fuck up, SOMEONE DIES.
Grey's seems more like a soap opera than a drama these days, and I don't have much interest in or patience for soaps.
