I wanted to finish this painting a lot sooner, but apart from work, I hadn't been feeling all too well *o, woe is me*. So, this is my first painting of a Slytherin, basically, Draco left an impression on me after reading HBP... (I never really cared much for the character in the previous books

The coloring is excellent, too (*grin* despite the fact that it was a bitch to do!). You've really got it spot on, I think--he's very pale without being washed out (and also not as pale as he'll be, say, later in the year, when the stress is really starting to affect him) and the platinum of his hair is perfect.

He looked a bit too gaunt and haunting in the earliest stages of the painting, but I wanted to capture him in a moment before it went downhill. I have no idea what's going to happen to him in Book 7, but it can't be good, really. This painting is more or less to remember who he was at the time.

I'm haunted by the probabilities...I've already written one fic about it and am likely to write more.
Do you think you'll paint him again, using the ideas/looks you had in that earlier stage? I'd be willing to bet it'd be gorgeous...heartbreaking, but gorgeous.

Hey, don't get ideas in my head O_O It's very likely (very, very likely) that I'm going to do a whole lotta HP fan art in the future, and since Draco is my latest muse, I just might :) He's definitely become muse-worthy. Yep, and Regulus, too, even though RAB is still speculation - I just can't help it *shrug*
