I had uploaded One Day I'll Fly With You to GFX Artist last Sunday, and it made the Painting Top 10, (my other painting to have made it there was Andromeda). Speaking of Andromeda, I submitted the painting to DigitalArt, but I don't know why it always takes so long to be added to the new artworks list. It usually takes several days for any artwork to be added (it goes through a selection process by the staff), but since it's been fairly quiet on the site, I wonder why it's taking so long this time...
I'm currently working on an original artwork (which I had trouble finishing, as stated in the previous entry), and I feel good about it, this time. I was having a lot of trouble with the background, and I kept changing and re-painting it. But I started on it again lastnight and it's going well. I really hope to finish this one soon, I'm afraid I might leave it alone for a long time if I don't. Since I'm about done with the bookcover I was talking about (the editor liked the last sample I submitted), I have more time to paint :) (whee)
Other stuff
I read a review about FFVII: Advent Children... well, not so much a review as a complete breakdown of the screened film in Venice. It was full of spoilers, but then they only showed a unfinished version of the film, so I guess the damage isn't too bad. But now I'm wondering when Square Enix is going to release it; it was first intended to be released on DVD only, but now they might release it in the theaters, which will obviously delay the DVD release *grumble* I want to see it so bad, it's not even funny. If they're going to release it in the theaters, that means it might take a very long time before we get to see it, and I shudder to think of the voice-actors they might hire for the cinematic version, which is why I prefer to see it on DVD, because then I get to choose the subbed or dubbed version. I do have a feeling that the rumoured AC release before the end of this year is but a distant dream. Suffice to say that I'm very unhappy with Square right now, they can't seem to make up their minds.
Speaking of unhappiness: why o why is CLAMP neglecting the X manga in favour of releasing such crap as Gouhou Drug and whatnot? They need to finish X, damnit, so we can all move on with our lives >:( Last time I checked, it's been longer than a year since the last X installment... can anyone say "sheesh"?
