First entry! For the people who arrived on this page from the link on our site, welcome! I've explained previously on the news page that future updates on
Disanthus will also be posted here. You'll be able to post comments, but only if you have an LJ account, so I apologize in advance for those who don't own one, and are not able to comment. This may be changed in the future, but we'll see how this goes :)
Of course, we'll be posting a lot more than just the site updates - this will also include updates from
Anata, and pretty much everything we'd like to post as entries... because we can :p
Even though a new original artwork was posted a few days ago, site updates have been somewhat lacking. Annette and I have been working, though not all of the work has been site-related; I've been working on a website for somebody else, as well as a cover for a book (and the deadline keeps glaring at me).
For those who liked our Harry Potter artworks, I'd like to inform you that Annette is currently working on the colours of the James Potter sketch that was posted in the Fan Art page of
Disanthus (under Monochrome), so keep an eye out for that update :)
Speaking of HP art, as some of you recall, I've been working on that cursed MWPP painting for some time. Actually, I've been ignoring the painting more than anything; I started it while I was still using my antique computer and monitor, so the colours are rubbish, really. It also didn't help that I just started working in Painter 6 at the time, which makes it even more sad. Instead of a re-paint (which I wanted to avoid, since I like the way their faces turned out), I'm mostly editing their clothes at the moment. But if there's one thing that makes me even lazier than usual, it's working on a painting that's nearly two years old. But I'm determined to finish this, even though the progress will be slow (understatement of the year, that). Rest assured that you will see it one day ;^_^; (Er, now you're probably expecting some kind of master artwork... don't.)
The main artwork I'm working on right now - I'm having trouble finishing. But my main priority is finishing the bookcover, so once that's out of the way, I'll be able to work on the painting some more.
A very long entry, this...
