Of course, with the darkness and his own distraction it was hard to see where he was going. Even if it was crashing into the leg of someone in a hurry.
"Ow! Hey! Watch where I'm goin'!"

"You! ... What the Hell are you." He narrowed his eyes, not recognizing the creature.
Xerxes, however, got over his fear enough to slither down and float in front of Mushu's face. He took a few long sniffs and made a disgusted face. "Eeeugh."

"I'm a dragon, who are you?"

"Mozenrath. What's it to you? Don't tell me you're a student here. It seems they'll let just anyone in."

Hades wouldn't let anything happen to his amazing little henchgirl, so she decided taking a step outside would be acceptable.
It was stuffy in the dorm building. And there was nothing to do. Nothing. And while she was generally approachable, she wasn't exactly sociable.
She's sitting close to the building, on a bench, for a quick retreat, but far out enough to be in sight.
Meg could've heard Moze from a mile away with how loud he'd been, so she peered up from under the mess of hair she'd been arranging.
"And what's your problem?"
Reply
Without his power Meg felt... bland. He couldn't feel her aura or see the influences of death's touch on her. She was suddenly as worthless as all the rest. "Why do you care anyway?"

She finished pulling her hair up, and she gave him a look that she'd normally give someone she thought didn't deserve her time of day.
And if he was going to act like this, she wouldn't give it to him.
"Well, if it's none of my concern-" she mimicked. "-Then I guess I don't care all that much."

When he squeezed it was anything but gentle. Hard enough to leave very wicked-looking marks on her pale skin and cut off her flow of air.
"Do not taunt me." He hissed hatefully, those dark eyes full of anger and... humiliation? She had embarrassed the Lord, and he was insecure enough to be unable to take it.

Between the darkness, his posture, and the unbearable buzzing in his ears, he nearly ran headlong into Mozenrath. While his first instinct was to growl an insincere apology (he's in no mood to be dawdling outside), as soon as he realized who he'd almost stumbled into, he straightened up and raised his eyebrows.
"Now what might you be doing outside at a time like this? Not wise for little students to wander around without protection, y'know."
Reply
"Don't be stupid. Of course I have protection. I can handle these creatures unlike some people I know."

Facilier was visibly aggravated by the mere memory, and shadow or no, he wasn't going to let the matter drop. Not without evening the score. Now was hardly the ideal moment though: outside in the thick of the mist itself, Strangelings clawing at the gates... no. Another time.

In all fairness if this was a battle of 'you started it' Mozenrath might have some good points on his side. But when it comes to two evil bastards fairness never did really matter.
If only Faci could read minds... Then he would know that Mozenrath was thinking very similar thoughts. Except he wasn't thinking 'another time'. He was thinking of how well his muscles would stand up for the necessary action.
