We went to the Newport Aquarium as planned on Saturday. Sitting in the car next to my hot-tempered Irish boyfriend, admiring his newest tattoo (two in one week, lucky); I kept thinking how lucky I am. Everyone who's in love says it, which is why it's so cliche, but we are all so lucky to have found someone. Whether it happens sooner or later for people; it never matters how long it takes, it only matters that's it's happened.
The sky eventually turned gray, and the humming of the Black Pearl mixed with tapping of fat rain drops on the windshield lulled me into a peaceful rest as he drove home listening to his beloved punk music. Except for the blaring music in my ear which only once jolted me out of my sleep, it was a really peaceful ride home.
I was excited to see Grace when we got home and spent a good ten minutes sratching her and kissing her. All day I kept thinking to myself about her; did she have enough food? water? etc.? She's normally by herself during the week and then sporadically on the weekends, but this was the first time we left the state. I worry about her constantly; what if the apartment complex caught on fire and we weren't there to save her, or catch her when she escaped? This cat is like our child; she's our first priority when we go to the grocery store or sit down to see if we can afford to pay for something fun over the weekend.

Today is the first day back from Spring Break, and I have a Spanish quiz. (Of course.) It feels like I've been out of school a lot longer than this, but I did technically have a week and a half off since my last class was two Wednesday ago and I skipped it. Still, it'll be nice to go back feeling refreshed and more willing to do homework like I was at the beginning of the semester.

What I'm truly eager about is warm weather and life coming back to everything in Indiana. Small road trips, many rolls of film being used followed by multiple trips to Wal-mart and then sitting down in front of the computer for hours on end to edit and re-edit photographs. I'm going to branch out a bit. I'm going to start taking photographs or people and mostly it's all practice for Roxy and Dan's wedding. Unfortunately, the only ones to offer their assistance are my friend Brandy wanting me to take photos of her 3 year old, and Tomi. While I'm grateful, I had wished more people would have responded. It'll be good practice none the less. If I only shoot Tomi for the rest of my life it'll be fine. She's a gorgeous model and a lot of fun to be around.

Back to doing actual work I suppose ... lunch time
