i was so not missed...

Dec 20, 2004 22:59

I have another journal, that I'd happily give you the address to if you email me. (taffysinclair@[SPAMMERSLIKERIMJOBSTAKETHISOUT]gmail[.]com) That is, if you don't know where it is already. I'm going to hell for hiding for so long.

Anyway, copy and paste any and all things that could be used against me when I either run for public office or marry a celeb or become a serial killer, because I'm going to probably close this mofo down at some point.

Anyway,

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?-Lost three (four, if you want to be techinical) jobs in the span of about six months, slept with a white guy (and despite popular opinion, I had not previously done this) sorta fell in love.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?-I think I broke any and all new years resolutions before the first of the year was over and done with. I'm going to make some, but I'm pretty sure I won't stick to them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?-No

4. Did anyone close to you die?-No

5. What countries did you visit?-None

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?-Self esteem. A job. More tattoos.

7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?-When I met My Sweet Melly Mel, because I finally got to meet one of my good friends in person that I had been dying to meet forever (love her) the day PG spoke to me for the first time (because you never forget your first, I guess). I'd like to forget everything else, pretty much.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?-Not killing myself. I'm not being sarcastic. Honestly.

9. What was your biggest failure?-Not being able to keep a job. And self waxing. Ladies, just fork over the 40 bucks or so and get your privates waxed by a professional.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?-The mouth ulcers. Argh.

11. What was the best thing you bought?-From 2003, because I haven't really bought anything amazing this year, my milk frother. (Thanks, Miss T for hipping me to the milk frother thing.)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?-PG, Jackass of the Year. He at least deserves some balloons or a cookie for that.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?-My mom sometimes, PG, people who I can't name because they may be reading this, my own...this wasn't a very good year.

14. Where did most of your money go?-Rent, cable bill, cab fare, blow.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?-Meeting Melissa, watching digital cable...there's more stuff I can't think of right now.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?-One Call Away by Chingy.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder? Sadder
b) thinner or fatter? Fatter.
c) richer or poorer? Poorer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?-Dating, reading, exercising, blow.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?-Eating, feeling sorry for myself, drinking, worrying about what other people think about me, blow.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?-With family, alone in spirit.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?-Yes

22. How many one-night stands?-One (plus more numbers than I'd care to admit)

23. What was your favorite TV program?-The Sopranos. Nothing comes close to The Sopranos.(They re-aired the "Vito gives head!" episode tonight and it's even more shocking the third time you watch it. I'm still shaking actually.) Maybe Degrassi, but they are like T H I S far apart.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?-I wouldn't say hate, but STRONGLY dislike.

25. What was the best book you read?-"He's Just Not That Into You" was a fun read. I didn't do a lot of reading this year. I feel bad about that. If I could get through "Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs", I'd say that was a good book too.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?-The Clash is fuckin' awesome. I'm about a million years too late, but I love The Clash.

27. What did you want and get?-The first season of Degrassi The Next Generation on DVD? I don't know. Nothing, really. I got to fall in love for the first time and know that it is not for the kid. And Chris Noth is going back to Law and Order. That's a good thing.

28. What did you want and not get?-A car from Oprah. Colin Farrell (next year though) A better relationship with my mother. World peace.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?- "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". Is the fuckin' shit. And I should know.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?-Lost my job, still not old enough to rent a car.

31.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?-Anal sex.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?-Hi. I shop at Urban Outfitters, I still wear Uggs, and I'm trying WAY too hard.

33. What kept you sane?-Starbucks. VH1 Classic.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?-Ice Cube. He's fucking hot. Call me, Doughboy.

(Off topic, but the best "This should not be funny, but it is" moment in movie history is Cuba Gooding Jr's character in "Boyz n the Hood" shadow boxing after he and Morris "I can't act my way out of Lar(r)y Kubiac's lunch bag" Chestnut's character get stopped by the police. I realized I was supposed to feel sad for the character after I was done laughing. Eh, I'm already headed for hell. Fuck it.)

35. What political issue stirred you the most?-Morals over common fucking sense. And the whole same sex marriage thing, I think it's sad that so many people are against this, even though I can not understand why anyone would want to be fucking married, gay, straight...

36. Who did you miss?-Van Halen in concert during the summer. My old next door neighbors, who did not make as much noise as the new ones. Jess, who I am taking to Canada and marrying (I'd believe in the instution of marriage if I could marry her.) as soon as I can find her.

37. Who was the best new person you met?-Zach <3, the new people on my LJ friends list. Do I even do shit outside of the net?

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004-Working in retail fucking sucks. People who make a career out of working retail suck and there is an extra special place in hell for you fuckers.

Oh yeah, falling in love. Love is for dumbasses and people who probably shop at J Crew. And there is a special place in hell for you if you shop there, too.
