Did a 14hr day at work yesterday. Drill nights are like that unfortunately and I spent the duration running up and down stairs bringing new recruits from the gate to the briefing room. I was absolutely fudged by the end of it!

Well I soon woke up...Maggie my bosses' german shepherd bit one of the soldiers. I was holding her by the door of the office and suddenly she leapt up and went for him. She pierced the skin but she didn't draw blood thankfully. Don't know why she did it, she just freaked out or something. Stupid dog. Now she won't be coming back in for obvious reasons but it is still a great shame as I enjoyed having her in. I wondered if she was ill or something, as although she is a bit of a woofy dog, she has never been like that before.

I nearly went off at someone this morning and this someone is a wanker anyway so I am fully justified in wanting to go off at him, but he turned around and said she should be put down. I love it when people make comments like that and don't consider the reasons for a dog doing something like that. I don't believe a dog has it bred into them to be a certain way, if they attack it is either because they are trained to do it, mistreated or have something wrong with them. Maggie is a pedigree and there is a tendancy for pedigrees to suffer from nervous disorders because of the inbreeding, so I wonder if it could be something to do with that. She is also incredibly protective of myself (Despite not being my dog!) and my bosses daughter, so maybe in her head she was protecting me. I don't think she is dangerous but I do think she needs some form of training.
