(no subject)
So I got my research paper back for my online class and I got a 97%! I needed an A on the paper to make sure I kept my A in the class. My paper was on how German environmental policy has effected EU environmental policy. My professor really liked it. She said my only mistake in the whole 6 pages of writing was when I said that certain evidence "proves" a theory instead of "supports" a theory. A mistake I won't make again although if that's the only mistake I made in 6 pages I'm fine with it. It's definitely one of my best pieces of research (and I've done plenty in the past year).
The 311 concert on Tuesday was phenomenal. I've seen them 4 times now and they get better everytime. I was amazed at how many people screamed and put their hands up in the designated parts in "Freeze Time." Usually 311 tells the crowd to do that but it was like nearly everyone there had already been to one of their concerts. The place was packed too. I'm sure a lot of people there were happy to finally see them after last years show was cancelled due to a hurricane(and I saw them in Tampa anyways 8) Tim Mahoney (their lead guitarist) had some sweet solos and definitely elevated the quality of the show too. I liked Matisyahu because they do have a rock sound to them but when they got to a reggae song I start to lose focus after 4 minutes. When the rhythm doesn't change for so long I tend to get distracted. The best part in their performance is when each member of the band had their own solo. Very talented they were..
So the last Harry Potter book comes out Saturday. I've preordered it from Amazon so it will arrive the day it comes out. Just to be safe, I'm going to limit my communication with friends until I've finished the book. I was lucky I didn't have the last book spoiled for me.
