The majority of my FList seems to have liked it reasonably well. I refuse to apologise for not liking it more, though. The lack of a shout-out to Martha, and the rubbish characterisation of UNIT (AGAIN!!!) made me grumpy. And I didn't warm to Christina at all...
Hee yeah I saw it as soon as I posted! It's fixed now :D
I was completely spoiler-free the entire time so when the Doctor started phoning someone I seriously thought that that someone would be Martha! Not for any shippy reason, I just always think universal phone = Martha/UNIT.
I hated the characterization of UNIT, ugh. STOP RUINING UNIT FOR US RTD. Seriously, just stop bringing them in if you're going to fuck them up like that.
And with Christina, I liked her snark but I was glad that Ten rejected her as a companion. She's much like the Doctor but the side of him that's too happy-go-lucky to the point of being insensitive. But she was good for this ep, that's about it. I'd rather have Malcolm as a Companion :p

I knew Martha wasn't in it because Freema had been filming Law & Order: UK at the time this was filming, but it wouldn't have hurt to have him say something along the lines of "Is Martha in London, Cardiff or New York right now? Can't remember. Better ring UNIT direct." or something!

Exactly! I'm not very anti- Ten meets the Brig because I don't trust RTD not to retcon the Brig like he retconned SJS!

Oh man the Christmas special was fail, I haven't even re-watched it yet!
I don't really care much for Christina either way, but I did enjoy her in this episode up until the end when she and the Doctor were talking in front of the TARDIS. But well, no use thinking about her much since she won't be coming back, at least not anytime soon! :p
I really enjoyed this episode, SO MUCH MORE than the Christmas special which I really wasn't that big a fan ff, I thought it was pretty lame if I'm honest. Malcolm was HILARIOUS, seriously, he should be the next companion, he could challenge the Doctor for geekery! I'm still so gutted Ten's leaving, I LOVE YOU DT!! :( Still, there is more to come, and the next one looks good as well!
I would love it if Malcolm become the next Companion, or at least he better make another appearance on the show, he's too awesome to be just a one-off!
I love DT so much and I know I'll cry when I watch his last ep as the Doctor :(( Have you seen Einstein and Eddington yet? DT was brilliant in it, I might just watch it again 'coz I'm hankering for some Tennant right now! <3

I would love it if Ten meets the Brig but with RTD still at the helm the chance of everything going wrong is epic!
Malcolm is excitable but Eleven looks to be the same, lol! Imagine how things inside the TARDIS will be like!

I didn't really like Christina, very up herself but that was what they were going for I think so no problemos with that. I just liked it, simple as =)
