Tale of the Butlerites

Here begins the Tale of Butler Sock Ninja.

We must begin where all stories must--at the beginning--though few realized how important a tiny inconspicuous flyer would be a much later  after it's first appearance.

Just outside of the main lounge of the mighty Butler dorm, a sign appeared.  It was a source of amusement for it said, "I have your sock.  Leave $20 in a Bruff dryer, or your sock gets it."  But most just took it as a simple joke.  Little did they know...

Twas a fortnight later and a young Butlerite was still awake late into the night, feverishly studying for his last exam.  Suddenly he heard a strange noise from his window.  He opened his blinds to find a rather small figure crouched on the ledge outside his second floor room.  The hooded figure motioned for him to remain quiet, then lept off the ledge, and ran away.  The bewildered Butlerite went outside to see what the mysterious figure had done.  He went out to find that very same flyer had been taped to the building under his window.  He then went to sleep, thinking it a strange but finished ordeal.

However, this mysterious Ninja was not finished.

The residents of Butler dorm awoke to discover an entire row of 2nd floor rooms had received the same treatment, but even stranger--one entire collumn of rooms, from the 2nd floor all the way to the 8th floor, all had the flyer taped to them.  Most dismissed it--he must have had help from the inside, but slowly those room's occupants came forth proclaiming that their windows didn't open--he had to have done it from the outside.  But how?

An RA was brought in, who called to police to investigate.  The officer took the original poster as evidence, but this mysterious, gravity-defying individual remains ever ellusive.

Here ends the Tale of the Butler Sock Ninja.
