Summary: Wooyoung feels hatred towards a certain idol and cringes whenever he sees his face. Fate delivers an unlikely chance where Wooyoung not only has to see the idol every day, but be the idol.

Even though Wooyoung showed up, he found Junho to be going out less and actually staying in the room after a concert or appearance. He wanted to question it but the idol seemed to be enjoying his company as the two talked over food that was ordered in for them. Mostly, it was Junho going on about how the concert went and how Wooyoung should attend one time to see his performance live. Eventually, he had started to forget that he had despised the young singer as he stared at him, the idol almost glowing after the concert.

Unfortunately, the shine didn't stay and soon Junho was starting to look drained again. The idol would be dragging himself around from photoshoot to photoshoot, the wear almost obvious in his short concerts. Wooyoung found himself to be less needed but Junho kept him there, telling Nam Gook that sometimes he felt too tired to even walk with his head held high from airports or leaving the apartment. The pay never ceased and Wooyoung felt his bank account growing yet sitting idle with all the money he had. He felt wrong for accepting it but he knew Junho would only sneak it into his pocket if he continuously declined.

It wasn't too much longer after that Junho stopped going out entirely. He still smiled and carried on with a bit of force rather than drive and Wooyoung could see the difference easily as he had observed the idol after two and a half months. Still spending time together after Junho's work, Wooyoung finally decided to ask the question he was sure everyone was wanting to know. “What happened?”

Junho paused with the piece of sushi inches from his lips, hesitating for a moment before setting it down. The younger male stared down at his container of food and Wooyoung held back to eating his own as he waited for an answer. As if thinking of an answer, Junho took some time before finally opening his mouth again, “I ended our relationship.”

Wooyoung felt more questions come up and he had to bite into his lip from asking. He wasn't really anyone to this idol and he felt like he had no right to ask anymore questions let alone the one he had just had. His action didn't go unnoticed to Junho though as he told him he could ask him whatever he wanted. “Why, if she made you so happy?”

Nodding his head, Junho had expected this question to come up. “Even though I loved her very much... And she made me very happy, I could see how physically exhausting this was to her. She was dating an idol and she looked sad whenever she'd see me. She knew how tired I was before I went to see her and she told me that it hurt her to see me like that. Despite me always leaving with a smile on my face, she couldn't bear it.” Junho suddenly started to chew at his lip as he stopped talking, another hesitant moment. “I let her go before it happened again... I can save her, not like before.”

“What do you mean, 'not like before'?” Wooyoung felt his curiosity growing, wondering if something had happened in Junho's past that had scarred him.

“You have her smile... You know?” Junho faintly smiled but it was the first time that he had seen it sincerely in a month. “She was always smiling around me before she got tired... I could see it in her too... How she was becoming drained just as I was, her tears when she told me she couldn't handle it anymore and then... When she died that day...”

Everything was silent in the room and Wooyoung could hear the ringing in his ears as he tried not to fit pieces together as to what the other male was talking about. He didn't want to believe it, thinking, hoping he was just building the wrong puzzle and that his mind was delusional before Junho spoke up again.

“She was my make-up artist when I first started, always following me around everywhere. It wasn't long before I realized that I was in love- she was in love. The feelings were mutual and it was so easy to have a relationship when she was constantly with me. Easy, but she could always see how this profession was taking a toll on me and it upset her so much. She saw me with less enthusiasm that I had once had. She tried to help me as much as she could but she started to feel the stress too...” Junho's eyes fell closed and he swallowed as if a lump was forming in his throat. “I did the only thing I could do; I let her go. I knew I couldn't keep her as an assistant because feelings would never change and she'd still feel upset around me. I think... You know the rest better than me.”

Wooyoung clenched his teeth as he recalled that message left on his phone that fateful day. It was an officer telling him to come to the hospital as soon as possible. When he arrived, the doctor and officer were there as they explained that his sister had been in an accident, her car sliding in the rain and flipping. She died instantly at the scene. The officer had told him that she was on her way to see Junho, her last text being written to him saying she was on her way.

He hated the idol for that reason, blaming him for her death even though she shouldn't have been texting while driving, she shouldn't have been speeding in the rain. Wooyoung never knew the real reason for her rush to see him, thinking that it was because he needed his make-up done and she had been running late. All that time, he had no idea.

Junho's hand reached over and gently took his, giving it a weak squeeze as he looked at the older male with tears in his eyes, “I'm so sorry, Wooyoung. I didn't know... And I didn't think fate would bring us together like this. I always thought you hated me and if you ever did see me, you'd beat the shit out of me.”

“To be honest, I did... Until I got to know you,” Wooyoung exhaled a shaky breath. “I had a huge grudge on you because I thought it was you who killed her, needing her that badly to get your make-up done.. I had no idea.”

After shedding a few tears from the newly discovered information, the food was placed in the fridge and Junho curled up in Wooyoung's arms as they laid on the bed together. They both laid in an awkward silence before the younger male spoke softly, “Do you... Still hate me?”

Wooyoung closed his eyes, thinking about the question and giving Junho a longer silence than he would've liked, “No, in fact, I might even like you just a little.”

The idol lifted his head and looked into Wooyoung's eyes, “Just a little?”

“Don't push it,” the sound of a light chuckle left the older male's throat, “I just forgave you.”

Wooyoung held Junho in his arms until the younger male fell asleep. He wondered if he would find another source of happiness, maybe someone who wasn't as attached. Someone, maybe like himself.
