It combines two of my favourite things (fuck raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens) so PICSPAM!
Okay, the last shot from the calendar was sans puppy, but I don't think anyone will be complaining.
Proceeds go to the RSPCA, which is a very worthwhile cause. Without them, Sarge and I wouldn't have found each other and life for the both of us would have been much suckier. But luckily, Sarge was rescued, nursed back to health and put up for adoption, and now he's one very spoilt pooch (omg, you should see the treats he's already going to have in his stocking). All the dogs used in the calendar have a similar history and I hope they're all homed and loved just as much by Christmas. Especially that german shepherd, because shepherds are <3.
They sold out quickly last year and I missed out. So this time I got two. *g*
In other news, baking update! Today was chocolate/vanilla whoopie pies. Those things spread like a mofo while cooking, so the first tray was almost like a sheet of (delicious) cake, but the rest turned out great. Will have to perfect getting them uniform and round, however. I really have to start thinking about Christmas baking (not many free weekends left to test run gifts etc). Maybe cake pops this year? And some new macaron flavours? Or truffles? Fancy snowflake sugar cookies? So many decisions!
Finally, am trying to make this my theme song/life philosophy/whatever:
Am applying to to RL, fandom, EVERYTHING. "Don't stress, that's dumb," is now the phrase most uttered under my breath at work. Which is an improvement, because it used to be "fucking imbeciles."
