I am currently baking, wearing the cutest little housewifey apron and listening to The Best of Dolly Parton. You only WISH you were me right now, huh? *g*
ANYWAY.
+ Superboy. WTF? Last time I dared to talk about him (it's...still painful, okay?) there was all this new Nightwing hope and THEN we get this:
God, just seeing him again makes me all weepy. Conner flying over Smallville has always been such a powerful image.
Okay, so it's pretty certain they're going the Black Lantern route now, right? Which means, technically, he'll still be dead, and it'll be depressing (but kind of fascinating with the Luthor angle). BUT. My hope is that AFTER then, they'll figure out some way to bring back the REAL Conner, soul and all. I'd be ecstatically happy if Lex had a hand in it, because I've always held on to this mental image of Lex stroking alive!Conner's hair and telling his son that he always loved him better than his other daddy did.
But that still leaves the question of who the frak this new Nightwing with Superboy's powers and a tendency to have adjoining panels with Superboy's statue really is. Maybe they're BOTH Superboy. After so long, we totally deserve two. One for Cass and one for Tim. GENIUS.
+ Satisfaction. Eeeee! Marc (Baby Hemsworth) was back for the season final AND his character is totally open for season 3. I am SO, SO happy about this. He kept his clothes on for most of this ep, but I just love that he's a TOTAL seventeen year old boy who is part arrogant and angry, and part fresh and puppy-dog eager to please, and you can totally see how Mel, who deals with horny, rich older men every day, is kinda falling for him. I'm kinda falling for him. It's wrong and ridiculous and it will never, ever last, but good god, it's nice.
Also,
promo trailer for Liam's new thriller with Melissa George. Check out all those Aussies pretending to be American! And I guess since their voices are so similar, Liam's accent will be a good indication of Chris'.
+ Skins.
How adorable is Thomas? I feel the same way about donuts, honey. I've been a little put off by the fart jokes and toilet humour of late (seriously, I might be getting too old for this show), but I must say that playing 'Ring of Fire' during the chili-eating duel was HILARIOUS. Also, Pandora's chainsaw aunt FTW! That's all I've got.
+ I think I actually AM going to crack out and do that Dolly Parton/Merlin vid. Maybe. Gotta do something to occupy myself until the season 2 DVDs arrive.
