I'm glad Ron Glass will be at Supanova next month. Finally, an actor I could actually recognise at 20 paces. Heh. (My lack of BSG, Star Wars and Matrix enthusiasm had me worried for this year's con.) I also read they were still trying to get Gail Simone out, which would be awesome.
But this had me squeeing, after people talked about wanting a Heroes star, and one of the organiser's replied about how Jeph Loeb was their first ever guest:
Why am I writing all this? Well there's been a little disatisfaction about our lack of international comic-book guests in another topic and one of the people I mentioned that I had asked but had said "no" was Jeph Loeb. But I didn't specify why.
The why is that the studio was fearful of a possible writers strike so they decided to fast-track production to get as much done of the season as possible before that could occur.
Jeph was disappointed he couldn't make it and said to me words to the effect of "we'll try again next year and I might try to bring a couple of the stars with me."
Was the preamble worth it?
OMG JEPH, BRING ZACHARY WITH YOU NEXT YEAR AND I WILL DIE OF SQUEE!
Now, if only the tickets would go on sale so I can organise my holidays, travel and accomodation.
