Confession: Kim Hyde made me clucky last night. You know me, right? This is Kim's crazy superpower, man. He makes girls like me want to *breed*.
Kim and Kit are the cutest parents-to-be ever! No, I'm being serious here. I think I love them. Really!
Not in a shippy way, I don't think. I just love how comfortable they are together and there should be a spin-off show with just Kim and Kit talking for half and hour every night. I'd totally watch it in preference to the other crap. It's like...well, it's almost like Kim was with Robbie way back when - joking, gently teasing each other, a little touchy-feely without realising it, and just plan *happy* to be together. Plus those searching looks Kim gives.
*sigh* I miss Robbie.
When Kim was joking about there being two Kims to explain why he's eating for two along with Kit, I had to agree with his convoluted reasoning. There *are* two Kims now. Private Kim and Professional Kim. But my descriptions differ slightly from his, because Kim is stupidly blind sometimes. *g* He's right about Private Kim (the relaxed, happy guy he is around Kit) but Professional Kim isn't just the guy at the gym - he's the guy married to Rachel. The guy who is constantly stressing and bending over backwards to please a woman who will never be happy or secure in their relationship. That's Kim's job right now - making Rachel feel secure - and the thing is, it's never gonna happen.
It's been a while since we've seen Private Kim. Probably not since his last *good* scene with Robbie or Colleen, I guess. So it's nice that Kit has brought him back. Less moping, Kimothy, 'kay? You're going to be a daddy! For real this time! And you'll be the best daddy ever, like we've always known, and you'll actually be a member of the Hunter family.
Also, hee, I think Kim and Kit's relationship was summed up perfectly when the baby kicked and Kim remarked how feisty it was and Kit replied with something like, "Well, with parents like us, what do you expect?" \o/ I loved that. And Chris & Amy played it well, like you could see them thinking about their pasts as they smiled. It's been a long three years, but at that moment, I just felt that Kim is finally right where he needs to be...except that Robbie isn't there with him. *tear*
If I wrote Kim/Kit (het omg!) would everyone hate me?
