Also, dude, has anyone else seen that ad Channel 10 are currently airing for this week's It's Me Or The Dog? That "clever" little thing where the dog lady has subtitles meaning she's talking about men instead of dogs? One of the subtitles has "...if your naughty I will punish you..." and it's driving me *insane*.
That show annoys me, too. Well, the dog lady does. I'm not a fan of robot dogs, and I raised Darcy by just *talking* to him all day. He works in sentences rather than shouted commands, and we have an understanding. Sometimes I swear I just have to *think* something and he'll do it. In contrast, Skulker has been put through so much obedience work and is so, so much trouble. She'll only do things for food because that's what was used to "train" her and she knows damn well that anything less than a tasty treat isn't worth it.
It's like...reading a billion self-help books about improving your life instead of just going out there and living it. All you have to do is spend time with your dog and a lot of its issues will disappear. You don't need smug S&M-wannabe British women on TV to tell you that.
