A couple more to continue the television sampler viewing experience this week.
Aquaman
Hm, wasn't this called Mercy Reef at some point? I can kinda see why it didn't get picked up because it wasn't that exciting, really. We still have Smallville for our superhero-in-the-making needs and this show had all the cheese of SV but it seemed to lack that certain charm along with it. Justin is okay as A.C. so it'll be interesting to see him step into another superhero role this season.
If it had been picked up, I think I would have started watching it out of a sense of duty but, yeah, it didn't grab me.
Hidden Palms
Ooh! Shiny!
Ah, trashy O.C. inspired teen drama that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Awesome. It even has Oliver and Zach from the aforementioned show as the slashy main teen male characters.
I liked Cliff (Zach) right up until a point near the end which you will totally recognise, but he's still very pretty nonetheless. They've set up the little mystery, introduced the cool kids, and the not-so-cool kids, and the quirky characters - including a drag queen, who seems interesting as the potential mentor with sage advice for Johnny (Oliver).
There's slash potential, canon threesomes, and the usual WB CW soundtrack. Speaking of, they totally won me over when they used Ben Lee's "Catchy My Disease". I'm easy like that. *g*
