Sherlock's death. Good grief. Even though we knew he was alive, it was an incredible ending.

21. Favourite colour episode.

It introduced the viewers to the new version of Holmes and Watson, and introduced them to each other. We also got a new Lestrade, a new Mrs. Hudson (with a widely expanded backstory) and a yo-yo dieting Mycroft.

19. Something that made you think.The dead people on the plane. It referred to the wartime bombing of Coventry and how the attack was allowed to go ahead despite advance warning as TPTB couldn't let anyone know they'd cracked the Germans' code. They allowed Coventry to suffer the attack in order to save more people later ( Read more... )

Sherlock's death and John. The viewers knew Sherlock was very much alive but John didn't. John was devastated and it was heartbreaking to watch.
