Best Wishes to the East Coast

Oct 28, 2012 20:49

To all my friends and family back on the east coast, please take care of yourselves and exercise a lot of caution over the coming few days. I know folks in the northeast aren't as used to hurricanes as we were in North Carolina, but I have to emphasize that this storm should be taken very seriously.

If you are in a particularly dangerous area, especially an area prone to flooding or under an evacuation order, the best course of action is to leave if you're able to do so. If you leave and find out later that it "wasn't that bad", you haven't lost anything other than a little inconvenience. On the other hand, if you don't leave and then find out too late that you're stuck in a bad situation, you could end up losing your life.

My thoughts will be with all of you over the coming week.

weather, disasters
