A moment of peace
So Here I am on a thursday afternoon. I have had this week off for FMLA, to help my wife and family get situated. The new born has been good. A very good pet rock stage if you ask me.
The kids are doing really well, Emily is in a very helpful stage, and likes to help. It can be difficutl to set up situations where she is able to help, but it works to let her help better then to just say no thankyou.
The house is comming along, we were just reviewing which seeds we want to buy to plan in the green house. Tomatos and some herbs should be pretty cool. There are several idea's and I don't want to recap them here. We need to get water to the green house in order to make things work. So that will be the next big project.
Projects I missed. We added a garbage disposal and dishwasher this week. 3 months without one has been liveable, but it is much nicer to load and go do something else. Plus my hands should recover from so much washing. The new dishwasher was a bosh, and 700+ with extended warrenty. I know I know, but I figured if something happens, I like to know that it will be taken care of. Which reminds me I wonder if I can extend the warranty on my washer and dryer.
With the extra time off we got alot of work done, most of the boxes that were stored in the bedroom where moved out to the garage or blue building. (Blue building project is mostly done, just need to put the trim on the outside door and windows, the inside has been drywalled and textured. Sierra has it 80% full(ok maybe not exactly, but pretty close. My ikea funiture was placed in there.) The dishwasher project required busting out the outside wall to bring in some electricity and tap into the pipes to feed the dishwasher and the instant hot and the filter, sierra does not like the water up here. Though from work I gather AV gets good marks.)
So we just need to do the stucko on the outside, I have already meshed it back together, and it is just waiting. Should be done this week.
I have plans to take a break, come down the hill for game day, (you know I don't know if I reseverd a space for it, I will need to go and check) I also want to take the van in for a servicing.
I still need to fix the shower in the back but i think so far it has worked as the cat bathroom. With a third cat we had to get a second cat box. One of the cats poops like a dog and I feel like I am doing most of the work for it, but some help is better then no help. It's not like we have a contract or anything. I am hoping DK can move in soon, the extra money will be helpful and we can figure out where we want to go in life.
So it looks like some gardening is in our future. One of my good friends is a vegetarian, so I should hook her up with some produce. The inlaws always have spare squash and zuchini. I hope this year I will do more to see her and her SO.
I have so much to do and so little time to do it. I need to get my planning back in order. My organizing back in order. I have a day planner and I have wanted to get it setup but have not put forth the effort. Time keeps getting sucked into other things. I suppose I watch too much tV also, but that is ok, I figure with all the stress it is good. I like watching Generation Kill. I also watch House, fringe and pushing daiseys. I understand the last was cancled and I think fringe may be. There are a few other shows I was watching but stopped. Sanctuary, I like the permis and I really really like the main character, but I only have so much time. I plan on watching the united states of Tara, I hope that will be worth it. I also have been watching the clone wars cartoon. I wish there was some better writing, maybe a more adult version of the show. The stupidity of the droids is insulting. Especially when a whole battalion could stop yoda and 3 or 4 clones. Silly. If they slipped through, fine but I suppose it's for kids. Some of the morals are neat, but still I don't think it is appropriate. I do like that they lose jedi and they do lose ships, but I don't know if they portray the loses the best. In either case I love the artwork, I don't like the main character acting, anikin and obiwan are pretty lame. Ashok is too emotional, but some of the other jedi are actually pretty cool and have some depth.
Anywho, some thoughts during this reprieve. I have a diaper to change and some kids to check on.
