May Day, Loyalty Day, Law Day -- why not call it Meaningless Nationalistic Jingo Day?

So May 1st is first and foremost May Day. The day that socialist nations across the globe honor the actions of four of working class anarchists who were hanged due to the Haymarket riots in 1887.

It's also Loyalty Day, a favorite of the Bush family, where Americans are encouraged to pay homage to the ideals that the country was founded on: hatred ( Read more... )
