The Week Three wrapup
As of tonight I'm up to 40k on the Nano! I feel like the story's really coming together, and my characters have behaved for me in ways I dared only dream of. Charlotte's told me all about her past, Ruby has endeared herself to me, the Mysterious Guy has a name and enough of a personality to make him appropriately scary, and it creeps me out how well I can write for poor demented Sara. And as my lead protagonist, Simon's been an awfully good sport about it all.
It's really fun. I feel like I'm bonding with my characters. Just one more excuse to talk to myself.
I almost gave up on the writing last weekend. Two weekends in a row now I've been called in to work, so I've had around twenty hours of overtime so far. I'm exhausted, not quite sure how I'm still functioning. AND I haven't been playing Warcraft, so I haven't had my daily dose of, you know, killing bitches. The stress: it accumulates.
Also: Chrono Trigger on the DS as of this coming Tuesday. Rejoice!!
