Holy hell! I forgot I had this thing! I think I'll start using it again, since NaNoWriMo has me in a writey state of mind. No long posts about where I've been. I'm sure I'll mention things as I go along.
So today. As I get out of the car and approach my apartment, a little brown cat runs out of the bushes near my door and attacks my leg. She's the cutest thing, a fluffy seal-point with big blue eyes and leftover tabby markings on her face. She greets me with this half-meowing chirrup noise and proceeds to ruuuuuuub with her entire body all over my good slacks.
It's raining. It's cold. She runs to my front door and stretches up to the knob, as if she knows exactly which of my buttons to push to get me to let her inside. She's all wet and sad-looking and I've already got two cats in my apartment, but what can I do?
So she comes in and proceeds to run around all the furniture, sniffing and making that same chirping sound (thankfully she didn't pee on anything). I give her milk and catfood. Gypsy and Miss Adventure were upstairs in the Cat Room (tm), so they didn't even realize that we had a visitor. After a little while I move her bowl of food out to the back patio -- feeling a stab of guilt in the process, because it's still raining out there. At least now she has a full stomach.
I think I'm going to make her my official Outdoors Cat until I find someone who can take her in.
And also! I'm going to start posting my NaNo story here... probably under a filter. So if you'd like to read it, let me know and I'll add you. It'll be separated by chapters and under cuts so's not to drown anyone with text.
