It snowed today, and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Too bad this snow couldn't have waited to come down early tomorrow morning, just before the work week rush hour. It might have been just enough to have bought us all a snow day. Goodness knows I could use another day off of work to just chill and relax.
This is most likely the final snow that we will see from the 2015-16 Winter Season. What an awesome way to bring in the Spring Equinox today, with a final farewell from Winter.
I was up early enough to enjoy watching the snow come down. It was so peaceful, and beautiful. I let the dogs out to potty in the back yard, and they spent quite a bit of time running around and rooting around int he snow with their faces. Snorting and wagging their tails in delight. I also stepped out onto the back lover patio, and just let the big flakes float down to land on my face. They hit with a heavy wet coldness, that quickly melted off of my warm skin. I had to wipe the cool water away from my face, but it felt refreshing.
Maybe, by the time the first snow of the next winter Season comes around, I might be able to let the cool, refreshing, snowflakes fall onto my face and (bald) head without my hair getting wet.
{{wink, wink, hint, hint}}. That's an amazing sensation I haven't felt in over 9 years now.
Anyway, Happy first day of Spring. I enjoyed the snow for the short time it was here today.

Sunday, March 20, 2016 Yay! It's so beautiful.
March/Spring snows are the best. They come down in big, heavy flakes. Cover everything (except the roads) in a blanket of peaceful white. Then it all melts away in just a day.
It's like Winter's way of saying "goodbye, for now. I'll see you again for the holidays." Then she gives one last beautiful display of quiet, gentle, snow.
